I decided to play off of the title of Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam to showcase the new normal that has been created by Covid-19.
Tasked with creating an advertisement to promote a modern product with inspiration from a piece of fine art, I chose to pair the Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli with the tarte "be a mermaid & make waves eyeshadow palette" because of her signature presence within a clam shell and as a figure of beauty.
I designed this piece with inspiration from Lucian Bernhard of the German Plakatstil style. I took most reference from his Stiller and Bosch posters.
I was inspired by the abstract nature of Bounty's logo as well as Henry van de Velde's Tropon, l'Aliment Le Plus Concentré from the Belgian Art Nouveau period.
Death to the Patriarchy. This piece was inspired as a feminist agitprop piece inspired by Russian, communist Constructivism and designers including: Rodchenko, Stepanova, and Lissitsky.
